Hi!......

I'm a girl from Norway who just started reading the books and am overwhelmed by the power of the message. I joined the local CwG Center in Oslo, and our last meeting was very interesting. The topic for our discussion was "hope," and we had a LONG interesting discussion. But all of us wondered that it's almost not even mentioned in the books. So I wanted to ask -- what is HOPE to you?

I need a badly needed prayer or two, and some deep encouragement. I have hit a very low point in my life. I am fighting a battle with Alcoholism, despair and deep depression.

Aged 82 and recovering from broken hip operation.

In CwG, Book 1, how do you reconcile: a) can go to God for need and comfort pg. 115 - 117 and, b) God puts you in the driver's seat pg. 190. pg. 115-117 talks of asking God to fulfill need. pg. 190 implies God is a watcher since he has given you the gift of free will.
