Books For Friends

Founded in 1995 when a prisoner wrote to Neale asking for a free copy of Conversations with God, Books for Friends was created to provide CwG books and materials to people who cannot afford to purchase them.

Addressing that particular inmate book request, Neale felt as though it would not be fair to give a book to just one person. Instead, Neale felt a need to make CwG accessible to anyone who would like a copy. In his September 1995 newsletter, Neale enlisted the help of his readers by asking them to consider donating to someone less fortunate.

The response was overwhelming and to this day readers who have been inspired by the messages of CwG seek to make this same inspiration available through gifts of books and donations for books and postage.

Prison Outreach

Founded alongside Books for Friends in 1995, the Prison Outreach Program is committed to reaching out to the population that finds itself in prisons, jails and other facilities where freedom, choices and opportunities are restricted. As with Book for Friends, this program was also initiated as a result of book requests coming from those incarcerated. Prison Outreach is committed to creating ways to support the spiritual exploration of our friends inside, from gifting them with books, to exposing them to more resources through newsletters and magazines, to personally corresponding in support of their spiritual exploration. It is founded upon, driven by and supported through the dedication and generosity of individuals who have been touched by the CwG material.
